Winter Field

Snow-covered corn field from last year. No signs of winter here this year, save the page on the calendar, I don't care what the groundhog says. He's obviously been doing too much pre-Superbowl celebrating. My daffodils are peeking through already. The moss is growing bright green on rocks and I saw a few insects flying around the other day. I kind of miss the snow. I never minded the shoveling or the snow days, the snowmen or the snowball fights. I'd rather have white than dead grey-brown on the ground anyday. On the good side, I played some basketball down at the town park the other day without a jacket, in February, in New York. I lost, but that's not the point. = )
